How to Install Your Custom Banner (Grommets, Zip Ties & More)
Share
Step 1: Choose Your Hardware
For fence or chain-link installations, use zip ties through reinforced grommets for a clean, taut appearance. For walls or poles, opt for bungee cords or rope threaded through grommets. Always place anchors every 18–24 inches for consistent tension and reduced sagging.
Step 2: Prepare the Surface
Clean mounting surfaces of dust and debris before hanging. Use a level or chalk line to mark anchor points and ensure even placement. On uneven surfaces, apply tensioners to prevent wrinkles and maintain visibility.
Step 3: Hanging Techniques for Longevity
Start by securing the center top grommet. Work outward, tightening each anchor until the banner is taut. For outdoor banners in windy areas, allow up to 5% slack to reduce wind stress. And always check tension after a few hours of exposure—a tight banner can warp in heat, while a loose one sags.
